How does the Internet work?

The Internet operates over a network of packet routing compliant with Internet Protocol (ip), Transport Control Protocol (TCP) and other protocols

What is this protocol?

🤠Protocol is a set of rules that govern how computers communicate with each other over a network🤠

E.g., in the Transport Control Protocol
There is a rule, one computer
Data to another computer
If sending, the destination computer
Has lost any data
Initially notify the computer if there is
Should be given and its origins
It can be sent back to the computer.
Or to computer transmitted data
Attach addresses to other computers
The way the information should be carried is precise
Internet Protocol:

What is a packet?

දත්තData sent over the internet is called a message. Before sending a message, it first splits into several parts called packets. These packets are sent independently of each other. The average maximum packet size is between 1000 and 3000 characters. The Internet Protocol specifies how messages should be packaged
What is a packet routing network?
Originally a network that transports packets from a computer to a destination computer. The Internet is made up of a special computer network called a router. The function of each router is to know how to move packets from their source to their destination. A packet travels through multiple routers on its way.

විටWhen a packet moves from one router to another, it is called a hop. You can use the command line-tool traceroute to view the list of hops packets between you and the host.
